1 12-oz pkg chocolate chips
6 tbsp vegetable shortening
6-8 bananas
Nuts or coconut, optional
Peel and cut bananas in half. Impale on wooden skewers and place in freezer for 1 hour. Melt chips; add shortening and blend. Remove bananas from freezer and dip quickly in chocolate; shake off excess and roll in nuts or coconut. Wrap in waxed paper and return to freezer.
